About Me

Hey Y’all! My name is Christy Sumpter and I love being a Mamaw! I am blessed with 5 wonderful grandchildren. My oldest grandson is 16 years old and his name is Jacob Paul. His brother Jace Paul is our 2nd grandson and he is 10 years old. Next, we have William Jackson who is 6 years old and the oldest of 3. Katherine Grace is our only granddaughter and is 4 years old. The youngest is Noah Thomas, who is 2 years old. I love them with all my heart and I love when they come to Mamaw’s House!

My husband Tim & I have been married for 34 years and live in southern Indiana in a small town called Bedford! Tim has been in the ministry for 35 years and currently pastors Hebron Baptist Church in Bloomington, IN. I love being a pastors wife and serving the Lord as a teacher & VBS director. I have the privilege of teaching our 3 youngest grandchildren about my Lord & Savior at Church!

Church has been a huge part of my life! I grew up in a small country church in Albion, Arkansas. I became convicted of my sins at an early age and one Sunday morning in a back classroom in that little church, I asked the Lord to forgive me of my sins and to save me. I met my husband at a Youth Rally at a sister church while in college. He surrendered to the ministry back in 1989 at Budd Creek Missionary Baptist Camp. I was sitting next to him that night during services and I will never forget him walking down that isle. We had no idea back then what God had in store for either of us, but we both had a desire to serve Him and that was the foundation of our relationship both then and now!

Tim and I have 3 children. Brittany is our oldest and she is married to our son-in-law, Josh. They live in Cave Springs, Arkansas with our 2 oldest grandsons. Next is our son Joshua who is married to his high school sweetheart, Sabrina. They are the parents of our youngest 3 grandchildren and live in Bedford. Our youngest son (my baby) is Caleb who is single and still lives at home.

I also have my own cleaning business and I am an independent beauty consultant, so I stay busy.

Thanks for reading my blog and I hope you receive a blessing from it.

Love,

Mamaw Christy
